Our Rice
As with any food, the type and quality of ingredients used can make or break your experience. The type of rice used is very important to get the perfect taste and texture in your biryani. The ideal rice is the Basmati rice. The grains are long and slender without sticking to each other, and therefore cooks evenly.
Undercooked or overcooked rice can ruin your delicious pot of biryani. For this reason, it is essential to get the exact balance.

How to cook the Biryani once it’s delivered
Biryani is a luxury dish, offering to you the royal taste. A traditional, however, usually time consuming dish so we have gone ahead and done the job for you.
At our kitchen, we prepare your food by hand using the same ingredients you would use at home. Our biryani is freshly prepared and then delivered to your home, Nationwide. Instructions below to help you cook.
THESE COOKING INSTRUCTIONS ARE ONLY A GUIDE. YOUR APPLIANCE MAY HAVE A NATURE OF ITS OWN. PLEASE ADJUST ACCORDINGLY.
EAT WITHIN 48 HOURS.
Place a cooker ring on the stove to allow the pot to remain stable during the cooking process. This will also ensure the flame is not too close to the pot.
Place the pot on the ring making sure the pot is fully central to the flame.
Using the back end of a long metal spoon, make ten holes evenly across the rice until you reach the bottom of the pot. This will allow the rice to get cooked through.
Cover the rice with aluminium foil, securing all the edges too and place the lid on the pot.
Turn the cooker to a medium heat for approximately 35 – 40 mins.
Your pot should now be steaming and the lid of the pot is very hot to touch (avoid touching). Once the steam is visible turn down the heat to low and cook further for approximately 90 mins.
After approximately 90 mins, it is time to check your biryani. Indulge in the heavenly aroma that fills the house during cooking. Everyone will want to know… Keep calm and hold your excitement…
Remove the aluminium foil. Be careful of the steam release. On one side of the pot, using a spoon, check the meat has been cooked through.
If the answer is yes, then your biryani is DONE! Ah, the pleasure it brings… Enjoy the taste of luxury homemade food.NOTE: If unsure, please refer to our youtube cooking guide video.

Biryani in 60 seconds
Ok, I lied, it wasn’t really 60 seconds. But it was so easy to cook the Biryani and feed my hungry family as you can see the plate rushing towards the Biryani pot.
